The athletics club AGES Kameiros 2009, organises the International Pole Vault competition for Men and Women with the Municipality of Rhodes, DERMAE and DDOPAR as co-organizers & under the auspices of the The International Olympic Truce Centre. 

The club, well known for its successes in pole vault at the national stage but also at the world stage, brings at the island of Rhodes the best Greeks and some of the best vaulters of Europe. The meeting is a part of the World Athletics Continental Tour as a Challenger Meeting Category D.

Ages kamerios 2009

The day before, framing the core event, AGES Kameiros 2009 is also the organizer of educational programs for schools and kids, aiming to get in touch with the events of athletics, try their skills and listen from Olympians and important personalities about the Olympic Values. 

This is a great way to inspire the new generations and bring the youngsters to the world of sports.

On behalf of AGES Kameiros 2009, I’m delighted to invite you to our International Pole Vault Meeting—now part of the World Athletics Continental Tour (Challenger, Cat. D). For two days the best Greek vaulters will clash with leading European rivals on a purpose-built runway set in the open air, just metres from the crowd, so you can feel every stride and celebrate every clearance. The eve of the meet belongs to the next generation: free clinics and talks with Olympians will share the Olympic values and spark new dreams. Join us and experience pole vault at its most inspiring.

Rhodes island will be an important sport station for two days in a row, because in total students, kids, youngsters, promising athletes and elite vaulters will stage the event and the parallel activities creating a high perceived value for the community and the spectators.
